ABOUT DR. vegh
Dr. Amber Vegh has practiced in Chandler, Arizona, since 2012 and has deep roots in the community she serves. She was born and raised in the area—one in a family of five daughters. Today, she lives here with her husband, who’s also a doctor, and their four young children—as do her four sisters and her extended family.
Dr. Vegh knew she wanted to go into medicine at a very young age. When she was eight years old and her mother was pregnant with her youngest sister, she announced that she wanted to be a doctor so she could deliver babies when she grew up. She never wavered on her resolve and gets to live out that dream today.
She went to Arizona State University in Tempe for her undergraduate studies. After attending the Uniformed Services of the Health Sciences for medical school in Honolulu, Hawaii, her military career took her around the United States and the world.
Dr. Vegh joined iWomen Health Care in 2018 and focuses on general obstetrics and gynecology, helping patients through complicated obstetric issues. iWomen’s Health Care is unique in that it’s very small and has a true family feel. Dr. Vegh and her fellow physicians all have young children, and they understand the importance of the care they provide while juggling the needs of their families.
Dr. Vegh specializes in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic hysterectomies. She makes a point to listen to her patients and learn their stories before making any decisions about their care. And patients appreciate her caring nature and relatable personality.
She particularly enjoys being part of the pregnancy and delivery processes, and becoming part of her patients’ families. She loves taking care of women after they have children, and taking care of their sisters and daughters.
I love being such an intimate part of my patients’ lives.
In her time away from her practice, Dr. Vegh prioritizes time with family, playing games and swimming with her children, and golfing with her husband, Chris.

Education and Experience
Dr. Vegh got her undergraduate degree in microbiology, studying at Arizona State University in Tempe, just a stone’s throw from Gilbert, where she grew up. With family in Hawaii, where her father was stationed in the military, she attended medical school at the Uniformed Services of the Health Sciences in Honolulu, where she could be close to family and friends. She completed her residency at Tripler Army Medical Center, also in Honolulu.
As a graduate from the Uniformed Services of the Health Sciences and a captain, her military career led her to spend two years in Germany, two years in Washington state, a year in Iraq, and finally, two years in Missouri.
Now back in Arizona and a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Vegh is among the top of her field. She stays on top of the latest medical research reading articles from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and doing her board certification every year, giving her Continuing Medical Education certification.
