I am the sonographer here at iWomen's Health Care. I was born in Scottsdale, AZ and graduated from Chandler High School in 1998. After high school, I obtained my certification in surgical technology. I went to work in the main operating room of a local hospital, assisting surgeons in a multitude of specialties. A few years later, I got the opportunity to work privately for a plastic/reconstructive surgery group as well as an orthopedic facility specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery.
It wasn’t until I had my first ultrasound for my pregnancy that I became interested in the field of sonography. After my son was born, I went back to school and earned my degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Sanford Brown College in 2012. Upon graduation, I completed the ARDMS national registry exam. I also obtained credentials in two ultrasound specialties including Abdomen and OB/GYN.
I absolutely love my job and am so happy that I was given the opportunity to work with Dr. Garza, and the wonderful providers and staff at iWomen's Health Care. It means a lot to me to be able to share such a special time with new/expecting parents. I enjoy watching those babies on the screen just as much as the parents-to-be! When I am not at work, I spend quality time with my six-year-old son. I also like to go to musicals and plays and enjoy trying new foods, restaurants, and outdoor activities. I most recently tried indoor rock climbing and paddle boarding and loved them both!
